Binh Duong to realise pre-feasibility study for Bau Bang – Cai Mep Thi Vai line

The Vietnamese province of Binh Duong is planning to realise a pre-feasibility study for a new railway line. The 125 km line is planned to connect the industrial areas in Bau Bang with the Cai Mep Thi Vai terminal and port area in the province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau. Costs for the project have been initially estimated at €1.28 billion (VND 34 trillion), of which €357 million would come from the national budget and the remainder from official development aid and private investment.
