On 23rd August 2023, private investment company Auxo Investment Partners announced the acquisition of Cariboo Central Railroad Contracting, a Canadian provider of railway infrastructure maintenance and construction services. Cariboo, headquartered in Kelowna, British Columbia, is Auxo's first acquisition in the Canadian market, and will be integrated into the Genesis Rail Services platform. The acquisition follows the acquisitions of Genesis Rail, a full-service rail maintenance company, and Ferrovia Vegetation Management, a rail vegetation management company. Cariboo provides services including new track construction, rail and switch replacement, track inspection, rail, ballast and switch maintenance, snow removal and emergency response services.
