Arva Industries Inc has introduced a new diesel-powered, bi-directional vehicle designed for collecting track ballast during maintenance and repair work. The vehicle has a hydrostatic drive and has two main functions: collecting ballast around sleepers and cleaning storm drains. Equipped with a vacuum system and a hydraulically operated boom, the vehicle's 8-inch suction hose can extend up to 48 inches. The boom and suction functions are remotely controlled via radio. The vehicle has a storage capacity of 20 m³ for wet or dry products.
