The government for the Spanish region of Andalusia has published a tender for the construction of a 1.8 km extension of metro line 2 in Málaga. Under the 36-month contract worth €57 million, the extension from Guadalmedina to a new hospital complex in Bailén-Miraflores will include cut-and-cover tunnels. Separate contracts will include the stations at Hilera, La Trinidad and Hospital Civil, including signalling and train control systems as well as electrification.
