The French rail technology group Alstom has presented an Eurobalise with integrated coding function. The technology is based on Alstom's Onvia Balise technology and enables simplified coding of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) for various applications. The technology also includes an automatic warning system to protect track workers. The first framework agreement was signed with Infrabel, the Belgian infrastructure manager, which includes an order of 50 Eurobalises with maintenance for the next 20 years, with the possibility to extend the order to 100 Eurobalises.
