Adif to invest around €61 million in Valladolid rail complex

The Spanish rail infrastructure manager Adif has contracted a joint venture (JV) of Lantania and Copcisa to build the second phase of the Valladolid rail hub. The work, worth €60.9 million, includes the construction of a new intermodal terminal, the rail technology centre for Adif subsidiary Redalsa, and a maintenance base. All measures for the implementation of the eastern bypass and railway complex in Valladolid have thus been launched. The 17.5 km double-track broad-gauge line bypassing Valladolid is intended to channel rail freight on the Madrid – Hendaye line, bypassing the city and Campo Grande station, and connect to the new railway complex.
