Spanish railway infrastructure manager Adif is planning to have a remote energy control system installed under a modernisation project on the 117 km railway line from Ourense via Monforte de Lemos to Lugo. The system will manage, remotely and in real time, the electrification which is currently being installed on the railway line. At a cost of €3.4 million, it is to provide more reliability on the line and will streamline the management of eventual incidents. The system installation has been awarded to a Temporary Business Union (UTE) made up of Sistemas y Montajes Industriales and Mytra Control.
