Adif awards maintenance contracts for Southern HSR corridor

Spanish rail infrastructure manager Adif has awarded maintenance contracts worth a total of €138.7 million for high-speed rail (HSR lines) on the Southern Corridor. For €58.3 million, contractors Acciona Construcción, Comsa, Tecsa Empresa Constructora, and Vías y Construcciones will realise the work on the Madrid – Seville HSR line from the Mora and Calatrava maintenance bases. A joint venture (JV) made up of Agrupación Guinovart Obras y Servicios Hispania, Azvi, Contratas y Ventas, and Ferrovial Construcción was awarded a €56.66 million contract to maintain the Córdoba – Málaga line from the Hornachuelos and Antequera bases. Work on the Antequera – Granada HSR line from the Antequera maintenance base was awarded to a JV comprising Ferrovial Construcción, Agrupación Guinovart Obras y Servicios Hispania, Azvi, Contratas y Ventas, and Rover Rail for €23.8 million. The 48-month contract covers maintenance and preservation of superstructure (ballasted track and slab track), infrastructure (earthworks, structures and tunnels), structures (including viaducts), track equipment (switches and exit devices) and maintenance bases (buildings and ancillary facilities).
