CPK and UZ agree to cooperate on new transport infrastructure

CPK, the development company for the new Polish transport hub of the same name, and the Ukrainian state railway UZ have signed a cooperation agreement during the Railway Direction Days in Warsaw. The parties are to cooperate on the construction of new transport infrastructure, including high-speed rail (HSR). A primary objective of the agreement is the development of new cross-border connections on a 1,435 mm gauge. In addition, the two parties envisage the joint preparation of a feasibility study for planned new railway lines between Poland and Ukraine, including the construction of a Warsaw – Lviv – Kiev HSR line with a maximum speed of 250 km/h.
