On 13th December 2022, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) held a meeting with the Yamuna Authority concerning a potential 37 km metro line connecting Greater Noida with the New Delhi Railway Station. This would create a faster connection from Greater Noida to Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, which has a direct metro line connection to the New Delhi Railway Station. At the meeting, DMRC and the Yamuna Authority signed a contract to develop a detailed project report on the proposed project. Under the project, the Knowledge Park metro station in Greater Noida would be connected with New Delhi Railway Station. Local authorities have already approved a project to build a metro line between Knowledge Park and Noida International Airport at Jewar. A proposal on the Greater Noida – New Delhi Railway Station metro line is to be submitted to authorities by 31st March 2023.
