The construction of a new 292 km high-speed rail (HSR) line between Chongqing and Chengdu and the 478 km line between Chongqing and Xian has started. The HSR line between Chongqing and Chengdu will have eight stations and is scheduled for completion in 2027. The line between Chongqing and Xian is scheduled for completion in 2028.
