CEML consortium changes partners for monorail line 15 in São Paulo

The CEML consortium responsible for the construction of monorail line 15 in São Paulo has undergone a change of partners in its contract with Metro-SP. Instead of the construction companies OAS and Queiroz Galvão as well as rolling stock manufacturer Bombardier, the partners are now Construtora Coesa, Álya Construtora and Alstom. In practice, however, nothing changes since the construction companies changed their names while Alstom had already taken over Bombardier. In addition, CEML received new additions to deploy track extensions as well as manufacture 19 more Innovia 300 trains. However, Alstom chose to assemble the trains in China rather than reactivate Bombardier's Hortolândia plant in São Paulo, where 26 of the original 27 trains were assembled.
