André Wyss, Managing Director of the Swiss construction and real estate services provider Implenia, is to become a new member of the Board of Directors of Swiss state railway SBB. Accordingly, Wyss is to be elected as a member of the Board of Directors by the SBB Annual General Meeting in April 2025. In 2026, Wyss will then also take over the chair of the nine-member board. Wyss will succeed the current member of the Board of Directors Véronique Gigon, who will step down in April 2025. Wyss will succeed the current chair of the SBB Board of Directors, Monika Ribar, after Ribar will no longer be able to hold the post from spring 2026 after 12 years due to the term limit. Prior to his current position at Implenia, Wyss was a member of the Executive Board of the pharmaceutical company Novartis.
