Wabtec has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Frauscher Sensor Technology Group. The company is a provider of train detection and switch control solutions as well as axle counting systems. The acquisition is intended to strengthen Wabtec's Digital Intelligence business division and accelerate growth. The purchase price is €675 million in cash. Frauscher is expected to generate revenues of approximately €145 million in 2025.
