Vossloh has successfully carried out the rail renewal on the high-speed rail (HSR) line Cologne – Rhine/Main. The process included welding with a mobile flash welding machine, unloading new rails and loading the old rails. With a working speed of up to 4,000 m per shift, downtimes and construction times were reduced to a minimum. Within four weeks, more than 100,000 m of rails were replaced and seamlessly welded.
