Voestalpine Railway Systems has delivered its new UNISTAR HR switch setting systems for the metro networks in Barcelona, Spain, and Porto, Portugal. The Austrian component manufacturer integrated a diamond crossing and the switch setting system on metro line 5 in Barcelona. In Porto, Voestalpine is equipping the extension of the Linha Amarela line between Santo Ovidio and Villa d'Este with UNISTAR HR. The systems provide real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance and cost optimisation.
