On 28th June 2024, track construction for the Shanghai – Suzhou – Huzhou high-speed rail (HSR) line was completed with the installation of the last fastening elements on a 500 m section of track. The line is expected to go into operation at the end of 2024 after entering the static acceptance phase at the end of July 2024. The HSR line runs through Suzhou in Jiangsu province and ends at Huzhou railway station in Zhejiang province.
