Adif AV has completed the installation of the slab track and switches in Murcia for the new high-speed rail (HSR) line. The completion of track construction at the future Murcia del Carmen station marks another milestone in the construction of the 6.6 km underground section for the integration of the new Murcia – Almería HSR line in the capital of the Murcia region. The Murcia del Carmen station, which is completely disabled-accessible and integrated into the urban environment, covers an area of 4,400 m² and has a total of eight tracks. It will have two 400 m long platforms for high-speed trains (HST) and one platform for regional passenger rail transport on the ground floor.
