Tended, in partnership with AMC Training & Consultancy, has launched a trial of its geofencing technology on the Irish state railway (IÉ) network. IÉ plans to utilise the technology to support work safety to ensure the correct placement of protective equipment such as marker boards and to ensure that track workers do not enter planned work areas until it is safe to do so. IÉ is planning improvement and maintenance work across the network and will also use geofencing to support this work to prevent incidents that can cause project delays.
