Systra has been awarded a contract by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) for Detailed Design Consultancy (DDC) for electrification of 44.65 km Phase 3 of Bangalore Metro. The contract, worth €289,407 (INR 27.4 million), includes the planning of traction substations, auxiliary substations, power cables, conductor rails, and a SCADA system for the new lines. Phase 3 includes two new lines in West Bangalore: the 32.15 km Orange Line between the districts of Kempapura and JP Nagar 4th Phase with 22 stations, and the 12.5 km Kadabagere – Hosahalli line with nine stations. The first construction tenders are not expected before the fourth quarter of 2025.
