At a meeting of infrastructure managers from Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic, it was agreed that the Austrian state railway ÖBB and the Czech state infrastructure manager SZ would prepare a joint study on a cross-border connection from Ceské Budějovice to Linz. Germany is to adopt a plan for the electrification of the Cheb – Marktredwitz line in the process.
