Strabag Rail wins two contracts worth €360 million

Track construction company Strabag Rail has received two contracts worth a total of €360 million for the expansion of the railway infrastructure in the Czech Republic. The first contract concerns the 10 km Nezamyslice – Kojetin section on the Brno – Prerov line, which is being modernised for high-speed rail (HSR) services. Strabag is leading the consortium that is expanding the line to double track and doubling the speed. Strabag's share amounts to approximately €110 million. Construction work began at the end of May 2025 and is scheduled for completion by the end of January 2029. The second contract involves the modernisation of the busy Ceska Trebova railway junction which Strabag Rail is carrying out in a consortium with Eurovia, Chladek & Tintera and Elektrizace zeleznic Praha. The total value of the contract is €714 million, with Strabag holding a 35.04% share. The work includes 72 km of track, all overhead lines and 30 bridges. Completion is scheduled for early 2032.
