Infrastructure operator SNCF Réseau is investing over EUR 50 million in the renewal of the Paris – Dijon line as part of the Paris – Lyon – Marseille corridor. Four major projects will be implemented by December 2025 to modernise the infrastructure and increase operational reliability for 110 passenger rail transport and rail freight transport trains per day. This includes the reinforcement of the Blaisy tunnel at a cost of EUR 3.5 million with sprayed concrete lining, which will be carried out during the day on weekdays and will enable operations during peak times and at night for rail freight transport. Further measures include the renewal of the overhead line masts between Dijon and Baulme-la-Roche at a cost of EUR 18.7 million, using an overhead line construction train. In addition, the signalling technology between Fain-les-Montbard and Nuits-sous-Ravières is being modernised as part of the national CCR programme. SNCF Réseau is providing around EUR 22 million for this project, which started in 2022 and will run until mid-2026.
