Siemens Mobility has acquired the Slovakian technology company HMH, manufacturer of the Mirel train control system. HMH will remain based in Bratislava and will be integrated into the Rail Infrastructure business unit of Siemens Mobility. HMH's main product, Mirel VZ1, is a comprehensive solution that enables the safe operation of railways in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Poland. It is designed as a harmonised system and can be integrated into the future European Train Control System (ETCS).
