Schrey & Veit, a provider of noise protection solutions for rail transport, has been awarded a contract to install rail dampers on the 44 km line between Warsaw and Gdansk in cooperation with its Polish partner Bahati Rail. The work involves the installation of 145,512 rail dampers and is scheduled to be completed by summer 2025. Schrey & Veit will dispense with environmentally harmful adhesives when installing the rail dampers and use mechanical solutions instead. Polish infrastructure operator PKP PLK no longer wants to allow adhesives to be used to attach rail dampers in the future.
