PKP PLK plans tenders worth €4.1 billion for 2024

Infrastructure operator PKP PLK plans to publish tenders worth around €4.1 billion (PLN 17.5 billion) in 2024. In the third quarter of 2024 (Q3/2024), tenders are to be invited for the sections Gdynia Chylonia – Lębork, Szrzerzyc – Tymbark, Warszawa Wawer – Otwock, as well as for the continuation of the railway development programme in eastern Poland near Sandomierz. In Q4/2024, PKP PLK is planning tenders for modernisation in the course of the construction of the high-speed rail (HSR) line Rail Baltica from Bialegostoku via Osowiec to Elk, further investments in line 104, modernisation between Skierniewice and Pilawa with the construction of a second bridge over the Vistula and the reconstruction of Maksymilianowo station. The Management Board of PKP PLK estimates that investment expenditure for 2024 will amount to around €2.3 billion. It is expected that the reconstruction of the line from Warsaw to Białegostoku, the track section of Warszawa Zachodnia station, and the main works on the E59 and E20 lines will be completed in 2024.
