PKP PLK increases tender volume for 2025 by EUR 2.6 billion

Polish infrastructure operator PKP PLK has increased the value of the railway infrastructure tenders planned for 2025 from the original EUR 3.8 billion (PLN 16 billion) to EUR 6.4 billion. By the end of 2025, two major tenders, each worth over EUR 23.6 million, are expected: the modernisation of the Sitkówka Nowiny – Miasowa section and the equipping of the Poznań – Szczecin line with the European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2. For 2026, PKP PLK is planning infrastructure contracts worth EUR 2.3 billion, including the major Podleze – Piekielko project. Other tenders concern new connections and modernisations in the Silesian region, Kraków and Wroclaw, as well as the expansion of the central main line corridor CMK.
