PKP PLK commissions Zaklad Robót Komunikacyjnych with control station for pantographs

The Polish infrastructure manager PKP PLK has awarded a contract worth €1.2 million to Zaklad Robót Komunikacyjnych - DOM in Poznan for the construction of an automatic control station for pantographs near Rózyny in the municipality of Pszczólki. The station, which is to be put into operation by the end of December 2024, is intended to reduce the approximately 100 annual breakdowns due to defective pantographs, which lead to delays. Zaklad Robót Komunikacyjnych will also take over maintenance until the end of 2027. In 2023, the system already checked over 110,000 trains and detected faults in almost 7,000.
