Moroccan state railway ONCF has published a tender for pre-project studies for the expansion of the connection between Oued Zem and the province of Beni Mellal. The tender concerns the construction of a second track and the straightening of the line between Khouribga and Oued Zem. The estimated costs for these preliminary studies amount to €3.5 million (MAD 38 million). In addition, a working meeting was held on 6th September 2024 between the Moroccan Minister of Transport and Logistics and the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea in Morocco. South Korea's willingness to participate in the implementation of Moroccan railway projects and to contribute Korean expertise was expressed.
