Odysight.ai and Israeli state railway IR have announced a collaboration to develop a monitoring and predictive maintenance system that aims to prevent derailments and improve the safety and efficiency of Israel's railway network. The system, which is based on artificial intelligence (AI), uses cameras and machine learning to monitor points in real time, detect potential malfunctions and predict problems before they lead to failures. Odysight.ai and IR plan to test the system on several lines in a pilot programme in the coming months, with plans to start it nationwide once the system has been optimised.
