Montrejeau – Luchon line reopened

The Occitanie region has invested €67 million to reopen the 36 km line from Montréjeau to Luchon in the Pyrenees, which had been closed since 2014. The work included renewing the track, renovating structures and securing rock faces. Level crossings were also modernised and new signalling and telecommunications systems were installed. The reopening on 22nd June 2025 included the construction of four stops and the renovation of the Luchon station. Six daily train services offer a 35-minute journey time between Montréjeau and Luchon, with stops at Loures-Barbazan, Saléchan-Siradan and Marignac Saint-Béat. In Montréjeau, there are connections to Toulouse and Pau.
