The modernisation of Light-Rail Transit (LRT) line 4 in Timisoara has been successfully completed. The modernisation measures included the refurbishment of 3.51 km of track along Cetatii Boulevard and the upgrading of nine stops. Since the resumption of LRT, more than 6.5 million passengers and almost 16,000 journeys have been counted on lines 4 and 7. The total cost of the project is €22 million (RON 110.8 million), with €13.2 million co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
