Australian railway construction company Martinus has been awarded a contract to modernise the Bankstown T3 metro line in Sydney. The contract includes the upgrade of 15 bridges and 66 locations, including car parks and roads, between Sydenham and Bankstown. Works began on 30th September 2024 and will be carried out during a 12-month closure of the line. The measures include the installation of barriers, bollards and other structures to minimise the risk of vehicles colliding with the network. These protective measures ensure the safety of Sydney's driverless metro.
