The Portuguese Ministry of Infrastructure has awarded the concession contract for the 71 km section from Porto Campanha to Oia of the high-speed rail (HSR) line between Porto and Lisbon to the LusoLav consortium. The 30-year contract covers the construction and maintenance of the section. The LusoLav consortium, consisting of Mota-Engil, Teixeira Duarte, Casais, Alves Ribeiro, Conduril Engenharia, and Gabriel Couto, has been awarded the contract under a public-private partnership (PPP). The contract is worth €1.66 billion. The contract is scheduled to come into force in July 2025. In July 2024, the Portuguese infrastructure operator IP received a funding commitment of €813 million from the EU's Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) fund.
