Infrastructure operator LTG Infra has awarded two construction contracts worth a total of EUR 375.8 million for the expansion of the Rail Baltica high-speed rail (HSR) line. Kauno Tiltai will construct 24.4 km of railway embankment and engineering structures on the Ramygala – Berciunai section worth EUR 248.9 million, including eight bridges, three viaducts and other crossings. HISK will construct 12.3 km of track between Berciunai and Joniskelis, including three viaducts, one bridge structure, 19 culverts, noise barriers and road works. The projects will be financed from EU and Lithuanian budget funds.
