The Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore has awarded two contracts for the Cross Island Line (CRL) project with a total value of around €414 million (SG$599 million). These include the final construction contract for the second phase and a separate contract for the power supply system. The contract for the design and construction of tunnels between the Maju and Clementi stations as part of the second project phase (CRL2) was awarded to Sinohydro Corporation Limited. The contract is worth around €138 million. Construction work is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2024, with CRL2 passenger services due to start in 2032. A consortium of Siemens Mobility and Concord was awarded the contract for the design, supply, installation, testing, and start of operations of the power supply system for the entire CRL line. The contract is worth €276 million.
