HZ Infrastruktura and CINEA sign agreements for 2 railway projects

Croatian infrastructure manager HZ Infrastruktura and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) have signed financing agreements for two projects through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) funding programme. The first project concerns the double-tracking and modernisation of the Ivanic-Grad – Popovaca and Popovaca – Kutina sections of the Dugo Selo – Novska line, with €246 million from the CEF contributing to the financing of the estimated cost of €289 million. The remaining 15 % is to be financed from the state budget. The total cost of the Dugo Selo – Novska project is €670 million and is divided into four sections. The second agreement includes the allocation of €4.9 million from the CEF to cover 85% of the cost of the design works for the 72 km Skradnik – Krasica – Tijani section of the planned new link between Zagreb and Rijeka.
