GVB Infra orders up to four road-rail overhead trolleys

GVB Infra, the infrastructure company of Amsterdam's public transport operator GVB, has awarded AMT Rail Road Production a contract to supply an electric, road- and rail-compatible overhead line work vehicle for the maintenance of the overhead lines of Amsterdam's light rail transit (LRT) network. Initially, a zero-emission vehicle with a workman basket will be delivered. GVB has also secured options for a second vehicle plus maintenance as well as further options for up to two additional zero-emission catenary line working vehicles including maintenance. In total, up to four vehicles can be ordered, whereby GVB reserves the right to choose other providers as an option. The total value of the contracts is around EUR 1.6 million.
