Raw materials supplier Getzner Werkstoffe has received an environmental product declaration (EPD) for its Sylomer and Sylodyn materials. This declaration provides environmental data on the products, which are used as vibration dampers in the construction industry, rail transport and mechanical engineering. The EPD, issued by the Institute Construction and Environment, provides a basis for sustainability certificates such as DGNB, LEED, and BREEAM. It enables decision-makers in the construction industry to make informed choices about the environmental compatibility of materials and supports the selection of sustainable products through standardised life cycle assessments. The EPDs are based on international standards such as ISO 14025 and EN 15804.
