Railway administrations from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, China, and Austria met in Baku to discuss the establishment of the Eurasian Transport Route (ANM) International Association. Topics discussed included the development of cross-border rail freight transport, marketing, logistics services, infrastructure improvements, and regulatory issues. The aim of the association is to improve the Middle Corridor, also known as the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), by implementing digital solutions and optimising tariff policies. The TITR connects China, Central Asia, and Europe via a multimodal network of rail, road, and sea routes. Future plans include the construction of the Baku – Nakhichevan – Kars line.
