Ukrainian state railway UZ and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) have signed a financing agreement worth EUR 73.5 million to co-finance the construction of a 80 km standard-gauge railway line from Lviv to the Polish border at Mostyska. The total cost of the project is estimated at EUR 190 million. The remaining funds are to come from government grants, Ukraine facilities and, if necessary, low-interest IFI loans.
