The European Railway Agency (ERA) and the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine signed an administrative agreement on 8th August 2024 on the technical harmonisation of railway infrastructure between the European Union and Ukraine. The agreement stipulates that ERA will provide expertise and technical support to Ukraine. In addition, both sides commit to a structured exchange on the harmonisation of standards and regulations in the areas of railway safety, railway interoperability and legislation for train drivers. A steering committee will be set up for this exchange.
