Durovray new Minister of Transport

On 21th September 2024, François Durovray was appointed Minister Delegate for Transport in the French government under Prime Minister Michel Barnier. Durovray, President of the Essonne Department Council and a member of the Ile-de-France Mobilités Board of Directors since 2010, succeeds Patrice Vergriete. He is known for his expertise in transport policy and has, among other things, advocated for new RER trains, express buses and a unified ticket in Ile-de-France. One of Durovray’s main tasks, who is firmly opposed to mega trucks and calls for the pricing of truck traffic that bypasses the motorway on National Route 20, will be to engage in dialogue with road transport associations.
