Christian Diewald took office as President of the Austrian Railway Industry Association VDB on 25th November 2024. Diewald succeeds Hannes Boyer, who resigned after three years, and will lead the strategic direction of the association. In his new role, he works with an executive team made up of representatives from Stadler Rail Austria, Siemens Mobility Austria, Hitachi Rail Austria, Frequentis, Alstom Transport Austria, Knorr-Bremse, Plasser & Theurer, and Simacek Holding. Prior to his appointment, Diewald served as managing director of Stadler Rail Austria.
