D/Gauge, a TÜV Rheinland Group company, and the Cordel Group have signed a contract for network scanning and clearance software with the US railway company Genessee & Wyoming. D/Gauge will supply Rift software to Genessee & Wyoming to improve clearance assessment, particularly for the transport of high and wide loads. The software and hardware package will enable the scanning and storage of network data and the automated calculation and reporting of release information for the entire network. Using Cordel's Cordel Rugged solution, the automated, portable inspection system will capture data and store it in Cordel Connect, Cordel's rail data platform. The data set will be used to perform clearance calculations.
