On 28th October 2025, the China Railway No 4 Engineering Group (CREC4) began track construction on the new Fuyang – Huaibei high-speed rail (HSR) line in the northern Chinese province of Anhui. The line is intended to connect the province with the economically powerful Yangtze River Delta region. The 142.5 km line is designed for a maximum speed of 350 km/h and connects the four cities of Fuyang, Bozhou, Huaibei and Suzhou in northern Anhui. The project was jointly financed by the Anhui Provincial Investment Group and the four city administrations.
