CPK, the project developer behind the new Polish hub airport and associated railway projects, has published its investment plan for 2026-2028. In 2026, tenders with a total value of around EUR 9.4 billion (PLN 40 billion) are to be issued. The plan comprises 92 contracts, each with an individual value of over EUR 230,000. In the railway sector, the largest tenders are for the main construction work on the high-speed rail (HSR) line Warsaw – Lodz, divided into three lots for sections 3, 4 and 5, which are to be put out to tender in the first quarter of 2026 (Q1/2026). The contracts are each worth up to EUR 700 million. This will be followed in Q2/2026 by the main contract for section 6, worth up to EUR 1.17 billion, and a contract for the planning and construction of two 25 kV substations, with a budget of up to EUR 60 million. In addition, two lots for the implementation planning and construction of the control and energy substations for the HSR line will be put out to tender, each with a value of up to EUR 700 million. The tender for the construction of the station and platform hall at the new airport is scheduled for Q4/2026. In 2025, contracts worth around EUR 516 million were already awarded for the Lodz tunnel and a terminal tender worth EUR 1.17 billion.
