The project promoter CPK has launched the tender for the construction of the 4.6 km long tunnel for high-speed rail (HSR) in Lodz. The twin-track tunnel will run between the Lodz Fabryczna tunnel station and the south-west of the city and is part of the future HSR line from Warsaw via the future CPK airport and Lodz to Wroclaw and Poznan. The chambers for the tunnel boring machine (TBM) with a diameter of 14 m are already under construction. Tenders can be submitted until 25th September 2024; the construction period is four years.
