The presidents of the railway supervisory authorities of Bulgaria and Greece, Kalinka Velikova and Georgia Aifantopoulou, have signed a cooperation agreement for the joint supervision of cross-border rail transport. The aim of the agreement is to increase safety and strengthen interoperability and competition in international rail transport, particularly in the Bulgarian-Greek border region, while complying with European regulations.
