Czech infrastructure operator SZ has completed the selection of all specialist consultants for the public-private partnership (PPP) project for a high-speed rail (HSR) line between Prerov and Ostrava. Together with the Ministry of Transport and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), work has begun on drafting the concession agreement and tender documents. The IFC, as lead transaction advisor, is working with experts in law, finance, technology and the environment from CMS Cameron McKenna, Krutak & Partners, Ernst & Young, Setec international, Valbek, Integra Consulting and DVOKUT-ECRO. The project is the first in the Czech Republic to use the PPP model to combine public investment with private expertise.
